Stafford feeling great ahead of the Rams' opener (0:25)

Matthew Stafford has an update on how his elbow is feeling. There is a time and a place for it.

5:24 PM ET

Matthew Stafford said there are no limitations on his right elbow as the Los Angeles Rams prepare for the Buffalo Bills.

Stafford, who played through right elbow pain last season and received an injection in the elbow during the season, was put on a throwing schedule during training camp.

Stafford said he felt good. I'm prepared to leave. There are no limits. I'm feeling good. I'm ready to hit the field. Is it possible to always be better? I want to feel like I am 21 again. I will continue to try. I feel great. I feel like I can hit the ball.

The plan the Rams have in place to manage Stafford's elbow pain is similar to what they did for the quarterback, according to Sean McVay. He said that a quarterback's arm is always something that you want to be careful with.

McVay said that he was throwing the ball well. He's feeling good. Everything he's saying to me is reflected in the things I'm seeing. I feel great about that.

Stafford said that he has been doing things that have made his elbow feel better, and that he will continue to do those during the season.

If the Rams need Stafford to throw more than 50 times.

McVay didn't hesitate.
