Police are looking for a suspect after a reporter was stabbed to death outside his home.
Jeff German, a journalist, was stabbed to death by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, authorities got a call on Saturday.
Police said the 69-year-old German was in an altercation with another person that lead to the stabbing.
The altercation is believed to have taken place outside of the home. There are some leads for us. The suspect is still being pursued.
Glenn Cook, the Review-Journal's executive editor, said that German had not made any threats towards anyone in the newspaper's leadership.
Cook said the Review-Journal family was devastated by Jeff's death. He was the best of the best. It is difficult to imagine what Las Vegas would be like without him.
German joined the Review-Journal after more than two decades at the Las Vegas Sun where he was a columnist and reporter.

The 2001 true-crime book "Murder in Sin City: The Death of a Las Vegas Casino Boss" was written by German, who had a master's degree from the university.
