A girl and a football player were injured when flares were thrown into the stadium.

The FA Cup tie between the two teams was stopped 20 minutes after kick-off after an incident occurred.

The player and the child were injured while watching the game.

Men threw flares into the park.

There have been protests about the future of the club, which was formed in 2020 after the club was kicked out of the English Football League.

The throwing of flares may have been linked to the protests.

It was not connected to fireworks being used in an anti-social manner elsewhere in the area.

According to the UK's football policing lead, the number of arrests at football matches across the top five English league was reported to be at its highest level in years.

There have been a number of pitch invasions in the English Football League.

People who use fireworks or smoke bombs will not be allowed to attend matches and will be reported to the police.

The government will be asked to restrict the supply of the devices.
