Brighton goal
Brighton came ninth in the Premier League last season - the highest top-flight finish in their history

After falling behind to a first-minute goal, the Seagulls fought back to win the game 7-1 at the Amex.

The first goal of the season was scored by Kelechi Iheanacho after 51 seconds.

The lead only lasted eight minutes before Solly March's headed shot found its way into the net.

Moises Caicedo scored after being set up by Enock Mwepu in the 15th minute of the game to give the Seagulls a 2-0 lead.

In the first half, it wasLeicester who scored. Youri Tielemans played a ball over the top of the Seagulls defence and Daka held off Lewis Dunk's challenge to score.

After a video assistant referee check that lasted more than four minutes, the goal was ruled out for being out of bounds.

It didn't matter as Leandro Trossard scored from a pass by Gross and then won a penalty which Mac Allister converted.

The final say went to Mac Allister who curled in an excellent 25-yard free-kick in injury time for his second goal.

VAR is involved again

It has been a weekend full of controversial VAR decisions, with West ham andNewcastle United furious after being denied goals.

While the match at the Amex was taking place, the premier league decided to review controversial decisions in those matches with the referees' body.

The VAR was heavily involved at the Amex, with a lengthy delay to decide whether to allow Mac Allister's strike in the second half which would have been one of the goals of the season.

Mac Allister smashed the ball into the top corner after Mwepu failed to make contact with the ball when he tried an overhead kick.

Mwepu was ruled to have interfered with play by the referee after the long break.

Mac Allister was able to score two times. The first was a penalty down the middle after superb skill from Trossard had drawn a foul inside the penalty area, before a stunning curling free- kick with the last action of the match.

Worrying times for Leicester

In the past five seasons, the team has finished in the top 10 all the time, but missed out on a chance to play in the European competition.

They played in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League in May and will face a battle to stay in the league.

Brendan Rodgers expressed his frustration at the club's business during the summer transfer window, which saw them lose both goalkeepers.

The 11 that started the loss against Manchester United were replaced by Daka and Iheanacho.

As the visitors went ahead with their first attack, the decision immediately paid off. The first goal was scored by Iheanacho after Tielemans dispossessed March and Harvey Barnes played it wide to Daka.

Rodgers will be angry at his team's defense.

March headed against Thomas for the Seagulls' first goal, before Maddison's mistake led to the second.

Daka's goal made it 2-2 and gave the team hope of a win. The three goals the Foxes conceded meant it was their heaviest defeat of the season.
