There will be a special event at Steve Jobs Theater on Wednesday to unveil the new products. Mark Gurman gave his final expectations for the event in the Power On newsletter.
Gurman expects Apple to announce a second- generation of the AirPods at the event. Gurman didn't say when the new AirPods Pro would be available to order or how much it would cost.
Gurman reported last year that the new AirPods Pro would arrive in 2022.
The new AirPods Pro are rumored to have an upgraded H2 chip for improved audio quality, longer battery life, a new charging case, and more. The ability for the AirPods to connect to multiple devices at the same time would be a benefit.
Gurman and Debby reported in 2020 that Apple was testing a more compact design for the new AirPods that would eliminate the stems below the earbuds. There are rumors that the second-gen AirPods Pro won't have any design changes outside.
