According to a report, the production company for X Factor is facing a multimillion-dollar lawsuit.

An unnamed source told the UK's Sunday Mirror that she and five other acts were approaching a law firm to file a lawsuit against the company for at least $1 million.

It was horrible being on the show. We have been suffering for a long time. The woman said it was awful.

The UK version of the show ran for three seasons in the US and One Direction and Little Mix became famous there. Britain's Got Talent and America's Got Talent are co-produced by the same company.

The woman told the mirror that they lost a lot of money because they didn't make enough money.

The case will be over $1 million. Justice is being compensated for the time and money we've spent with medical professionals trying to live normal lives again.

Many contestants were sleep deprived, crying and traumatised before having to go on stage, according to a woman.

Your mental wellbeing was not something that anyone cared about. They pawned us in their game. She said she was confident when she entered the show. I am full of anxiety and I am not sure what to think.

There is no allegation that Simon Cowell was aware of or involved in the incidents or behavior of the former contestants, as was requested by the company.

Welfare of those taking part is our top priority and we have robust measures and welfare teams in place to ensure support is always available.

Despite not being on air for several years, we remain open to discuss concerns with anyone who chooses to do so.

According to a source familiar with the case, lawyers believe the contestants have a strong case that will be brought forward in the future.

The X Factor and its parent company didn't reply to Insider's request.
