She had been dreaming of her ideal wedding dress for a long time, even though she wasn't sure she would find a partner.

There was a textured sweetheart neckline and three-dimensional floral appliqués on top of the sheer dress. A fitted skirt replaced the corset-style one.
The sheer train and off-the- shoulder sleeves were optional.
The details on the dress were symbolic for her, she said.
She thought the vines covering the dress represented growth. She wanted the details to speak to the years she didn't feel sexy or feminine, and felt like the subtle beaded gown highlighted all the light she has in her life now.
She said she dreamed about the details for years even though she didn't think it would happen to her.
She was emotional when she got to wear the dress.
She said that she started to cry when she saw herself.

The dress was worn at the ceremony and reception, as well as at the wedding and reception. The woman wore a veil and had her hair styled. The bride had pearls and silk flowers in her hair.

The couple were married at the Copper Creek golf club in Kleinburg, Ontario.
The seating chart for the wedding was made by Event Graffiti and the flowers were provided by Rias Designs. The couple hired someone to film them.
She told Insider that it was important for her to walk herself down the aisle as she left home at a young age.
"Though I have my parents' support and acceptance now, I felt like for most of my life, I had to take care of myself and be my own advocate." I wanted to walk alone to remember my journey.
She said that she hoped to inspire "little Jamies out there who hopefully will see this wedding" and that it can happen to them too.
By herself, she was able to focus on Silva, which she loved.
Silva wore a white tuxedo jacket to the wedding with black pants and his cuff links had a flag of the trans community on them.
Silva was emotional because he didn't see her before the ceremony. He couldn't take his eyes off me. It made me happy.
The limo was used for the wedding. The couple got a wedding cake. DJ Franky J was the couple's DJ, while Platinum Entertainment provided audio, visual, and lighting services.
Both samba dancers from Dance Vibration and Bollywood dancers from Shadow Entertainment performed at the concert.
A video of her wedding day went viral in December of 2016 and got 10 million views.
The video showed a clip of Phil and his parents entering the ceremony with the caption: "They were there proudly and with lots of love."
She said it was difficult to have so much attention when she got negative comments. Sharing her and Silva's life publicly can help people live more authentically, she said.
She thinks it's important to share her relationship online because it's difficult to find someone who will love you publicly.
"My husband chooses me every day," she said. We are facing the world together.
She loves that she married her friend.
She said she felt like she was with her partner in crime. He is the first person I want to talk to about anything. He is my main support system.
