Scott Frost doesn't call plays on offense this season.

The Nebraska coach made the most important decision in Saturday's 31-28 loss toNorthwestern.

The onside kick didn't work for him. Nebraska has lost seven games in a row and he is under more pressure.

In his fifth year at the helm, Frost said that he had to win in order to keep his job. It is how it is. I am very fond of Nebraska. The fans that came over here were very brave. We need to turn this around.

The opening game of the college football season was played before 42,699 fans at the Irish capital's Aviva Stadium.

The failure of the onside kick changed the complexion of the game in the third quarter.

"I made that call so that's on me." I thought the game was over for us at that point. We could end the game if we got it.

After we played well to start the second half, they scored 14 straight and we couldn't keep up. Those are excuses, again. I wouldn't make the call if I had done it over.

After their humiliation at the hands of the Huskers, the Wildcats finished with over 500 yards. Nebraska hasn't won in a long time.

Following a 3-9 season, Nebraska was looking to bounce back with a new offense, but the team and its fans who made the trip are disappointed.

The quarterback had a big game in his Nebraska debut, but he made a mistake in the fourth quarter. The ball was returned almost 40 yards. Evan Hull ran it in from the 4 to give the Cats a 35-28 lead. Hull carried the ball for 118 yards.

The Wildcats sealed the win when the ball bounced off the hands of Liewer and into the air.

Anthony Grant scored two more times in the third quarter, including a 46-yard touchdown. He ran it in from 3 yards on the first drive of the second half to give Nebraska the lead. Grant had 19 runs.

Pat Fitzgerald said the onside kick swung the game in his favor.

He said that they went down and punched it in to get back in the game.

Nebraska was still in the lead at that time.

In the Big Ten, you don't win a lot of games if you give up 31

The Huskers had built a 14-3 lead after Thompson threw a touchdown pass and then punched it in from the 1-yard line. The 120 yards on four catches was the most by a single person.

In the final 25 seconds of the first half, Hilinski threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Donnie Navarro to give the Cats a 17-14 lead.

Hilinski hit Raymond Niro III for a 41-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

After Niro's touchdown, Nebraska was going to drive again when Greyson Metz ripped the ball from the quarterback and ran it back for a touchdown.

All about winning.

He wouldn't step down. As long as I am able to fight, I will. His record as Nebraska's coach is now 30 years old.

There is premium protection.

The offensive line protected him.

He said that seeing the field as a quarterback is the best feeling. I was calm in the pocket today. I was able to see the entire field.

The way forward.

TheCats look as if they've found a quarterback in Hilinski, who completed 27 of 38 passes

There are more questions for the man. The Huskers lost all of their games by a single digit. Thompson made a lot of plays despite the two picks. On their first scoring drive of the third quarter, he scrambled left on a third-and-8 and threw a pass to Garcia-Castaneda for 58 yards.

There is a free beer.

The concession stands gave out free beer when the internet was down. thirsty fans were not turned away because the stadium is cashless. He waited 40 minutes in line and missed some of the game.

Up next.

The first of four home games for Nebraska will be against North Dakota.

The first of three games at Ryan Field will be hosted by Duke.

That's right, --
