Mark Meadows, Donald Trump's former Chief of Staff, is being asked to testify before a grand jury.
According to court records obtained by Politico, the Fulton County District Attorney is calling onMeadows to appear in court in September, stating he's a necessary and material witness to the special purpose grand jury's investigation.
According to the court documents,Meadows was ordered to testify about pushing voter fraud claims after the presidential election and about a phone call he had with the Georgia Secretary of State.
Congress was certifying the election when the Capitol riot took place. Cassidy Hutchinson gave bombshell testimony about Trump's behavior during a House hearing.
During the two-hour hearing, Hutchinson's revelations crashed down on Trumpworld. On January 6, Trump knew his supporters were armed when they flooded the Ellipse to attend his "Stop the Steal" rally, as well as that he said "Mike deserves it" when rioters chanted "hang"
Glenn Kirschner, a former federal prosecutor, said earlier this month that Meadows would eventually rat Trump out.
James Waldron, a retired Army colonel, and Sidney Powell, a Trump attorney, were also called to appear.
According to Insider's Camila DeChalus and Warren Roja, all of the members of the House have been subpoenaed to provide information related to the Capitol riot.
