There is a chance that this will happen, but we have a few updates about the status of The Terminal List season 2.
Jack Carr, the executive producer of the show, had this to say to the Daily Mail about the status of the second season.
Both Chris and Amazon want to do it. It could all fall apart. The eight part series would be based on the second book. We will look at it.
The focus of season 1 was on Chris, so one of his stipulations may be less of a work load. This is Carr.
Last time, we nearly killed Chris. Carr made a statement. The weight of the show was on his shoulders, but he never complained. He was in most of the scenes. It took a lot of time. The pressure off him in the next series has been taken care of by me.

Audiences love it even though critics don't like it.
If you know anything about the books, the direction the books go next is that Chris Pratt is free to return as a US government assassin, leading to more adventures. There is a lot of runway for the future if they need it because Carr is working on the sixth book in the series.
They will need it. Amazon Prime does not have as many hits as it would like. The Boys has gotten 4 seasons and a spin-off so far, and Reacher will return for the second season. Lord of the Rings is about to be its biggest experiment yet, and that will air for a long time.
The Terminal List feels like it needs to be worked on by Amazon so it can return in the future. They have the source material, they have the fans, and they have the budget to make sure Chris is back. A season 2 is expected to be announced soon. It took this long already.
