  • Biden's student-loan forgiveness plan will drive up turnout for Democrats.

  • Cruz said that if you weren't going to vote in November, then you just got 20 grand.

  • He said it could drive up turnout if you could get off the bong for a moment.

Cruz predicted that the student-loan forgiveness plan would give Democrats an edge in the upcoming elections.

Cruz said that if you are a slacker barista who wasted seven years in college studying useless things, now has loans and can't get a job, Joe Biden would give you 20 grand. It's 20 grand. Maybe you weren't going to vote in the election, and now you have 20 grand.

Not getting an education should set us free. Since Day One, the Biden-Harris administration has worked to fix broken federal student aid programs.

The prominent Democrats slammed Cruz's comments.

"This is what a leading Republican thinks of young slacker Americans who take out loans to go to college," he said.

The former official criticized Cruz.
