Donald Trump Jr. came up with a novel way to respond to the public release of the affidavit.

He posted a photo of his father, Donald Trump, in his golf duds with a long black bar over his crotch. The former president is holding a gun.

One Trump fan was so enamored with the length of the bar that he exclaimed: "Mr. President!"

Donald Jr. came up with the crotch shot. He made fun of the redactions in the affidavit, which the Justice Department said were needed to protect witnesses and the investigation of his father.

According to a joint intelligence bulletin released by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, threats against the FBI have gone up in the wake of vicious attacks against the bureau.

Police shot and killed Ricky Shiffer after he tried to break into an FBI office. Shiffer often posted violent messages on Trump's Truth Social platform and appeared to be inciting Trump's anger against the FBI.

When the president left the White House, federal officials requested boxes of documents from him at his Mar-a-Lago estate. He has a private country club that contains his residence. Trump claimed that officials would have been given the material if they had asked.

The National Archives first contacted Mar-a-Lago in May of 2021. The National Archives left with 15 boxes in January after Trump's aides said they had 12 ready to be picked up.

11 packets of classified documents and dozens of other boxes were taken during the FBI search of Trump's Florida estate. The batches were labeled with the highest classification markings and meant for review only in secure government facilities.

Justice Department prosecutors filed the redacted affidavit at the federal courthouse in West Palm Beach, Florida, late Friday morning after a judge agreed with the redactions prosecutors had proposed.
