According to a report, the third-string quarterback could be traded by the Pittsburgh Steelers because they have a crowded quarterback room.

Ian Rapoport reported that there is interest in a possible trade of Mason Rudolph. It seems like the PittsburghSteelers would listen at the right price.

Rudolph has more experience than many third stringers.

He started one game for Pittsburgh in each of the last two seasons. As a starter, he has completed 61.5% of his passes for 2,366 yards, 16 touchdown and 11 interception.

During a game against the Cleveland Indians in December, Rudolph was involved in a fight when he was hit with a helmet.

The 27-year-old was facing an uphill battle for playing time in 2022.

Pickett, who was the first quarterback taken in the draft, has solidified his position as the primary backup with an impressive preseason.

In the two games against Jacksonville and Seattle, he went 19-of-22 passing for 172 yards, three touchdown and zero turnovers. Even if Trubisky starts in 2022, he could be the quarterback of the future.

There isn't much of a future for him on the team.
