Marquae Kirkendoll was arrested and charged with robbing a postal carrier in New Mexico.
According to documents filed in federal court in New Mexico, the 21-year-old Kirkendoll was also charged with stealing a key from the carrier used to open mailbags and lockboxes, as well as brandishing a gun, aiding and abetting, and conspiracy.
Kirkendoll moved from New Mexico to Kentucky. A message was not returned by his lawyer.
The former UNM player was charged in the January robbery. There is an additional charge of knowingly owning a firearm after being convicted of domestic violence.
The Eastern Kentucky football player was suspended the next day after he was charged.
Kirkendoll played in 16 games for the New Mexico Lobos.
