Drew Barrymore was bashed by a woman on TikTok, causing some confusion. The woman said that the actress is racist because she copied a trend that was popular with black people.
The TikToker said that Barrymore was someone who wanted to disrespect the boundaries that Black creators had set.
We both know that we can enjoy the rain without filming it and posting it to TikTok. You co-signed at least 3 million people who disrespect and dismiss the boundaries that Black creators have set. Why is it important for all of you to treat us the same?
Black men started the frolicking challenge earlier this year, skipping joyfully in open fields or in their own backyards to express joy. Social media users are confused after hearing the criticism.
I can’t imagine seeing someone giggling in nature and making it about negative and about my own issues. This is some brokenness. Wew lord.

I don’t even understand what she’s talking about? 🙄🙄🙄

I saw some black dudes playing basketball once.
Man it pissed me off.
I can't play basketball.

I have watched this three times and I don’t understand how Drew Barrymore liking rain is problematic. Now, I’m Irish, so we think ANYONE liking rain is a bit weird, because we get so much of it. But offensive? Really?

I am so confused

Same. I had to watch it 7 times and I’m still confused 😐

I would like to apologise on behalf of black people everywhere. After reviewing the evidence from our internal investigation, we have decided to revoke her/they/them membership from the black community. We hope they find future opportunities in other races. pic.twitter.com/FDR4DStCFW

When she followed up with a second video on social media, she doubled down on her comments.
She said, "Y'all still went out of your way to demean me, put me down, call me out, and dismiss my opinion on my own." She opened the door for people to disrespect Black creators by frolicking in the rain.
There is a video in the courtyard.
Go into the rain whenever you can. She said in the video that she should not miss the chance.

Black men talked about the benefits of frolicking when they participated in the trend.
One man said in a video that he feels better. Every brother should experience that. Too many times we walk around with the armor on, the mean mug, and we have to be different.
