  • Mark talked about Neuralink on the show.

  • "Normal people won't want brain implants like Neuralink for at least ten to fifteen years," said Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

  • He said Meta is researching technology that could be used to text.

In an interview with The Joe Rogan Experience, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg talked about the company's approach to neural interface technology, which allows you to control technology with your mind.

As part of its push into the metaverse, Meta is researching neural interface technology.

He said that the company is focused on technology which can receive signals from the brain and send them back to it.

Having a computer give you information straight into your brain is going to be the hardest part of the project.

He compared this to Neuralink, which is developing a chip which it hopes to one day implant into people's skulls with electrodes fanning out into the brain that are able to both record and stimulation brain activity.

Some people, like Elon with Neuralink, are just taking this far off. It might be ready in a couple decades.

He said that no one would want to be an early-adopter of Neuralink.

In the next 10 or 15 years, I think normal people are not going to want to get something just installed in their brain for fun, said Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

He said that you need to get your brain implant upgraded every year if you want the mature version of that technology.

Musk claims that Neuralink will be like a "fitbit in your skull" and that it will facilitate a relationship between humans and machines.

Both Neuralink and Synchron began trials on human subjects in July.

There will be a near-term application for technology for people with injuries.

Neuralink said in a public statement that it was working towards a first use of its chip for quadraplegic people to control a screen with their mind.

Texting your wife by twitching your wrist

He said that he envisions neural interface tech slotting into the metaverse and integrating it with a set of augmented reality glasses.

Wearable devices are being used to pick up brain signals that could be detected from other parts of the body.

The path that we have is based on the fact that we have more motor neurones in our body than any other people. The brain cells that communicate with the muscles are called motor neurones.

He said that people could communicate with their brains by moving their bodies.

It turns out you can have a device on your wrist that your brain can communicate with your hand, tell your hand to move in a pattern it isn't used to, and then the wristband can pick up those signals and translate them into completely different things.

This could be used in real-life, according to a vision given by Facebook's founder.

"You'll be able to have this experience in the future where you're sitting in a meeting and your wife texts you and it pops up in the corner of your glasses and you want to respond but you don't want to pull out your phone because that's kind of

You could use neural interface tech and send a message without anyone even knowing you were doing it.

He did not say when the technology could be used.
