According to a news release from the Plano Police Department, a woman was arrested for attacking other women and using racial slurs.
An arrest has been made on a charge of assault causing bodily injury. She is being held on a large amount of money.
Video from Wednesday night shows a woman yelling racial slurs at a group of Indian women. The victims called the police after the woman in the video tried to steal the phone of one of them.
The video got a lot of attention on social media. The victims were told to go back to India by the police, who said they were ruining America.
One of the women from India said in the caption to the video that she has lived in Dallas-Fort Worth for over two decades.
She wrote that she had never felt so humiliated, threatened, and scared for her life. Can't believe America has changed so much.
According to the news release, police made an arrest on Thursday. The assault and threats are being investigated as hate crimes.
