After signing a new contract that makes him college football's highest-paid coach, Alabama's Nick Saban said he plans on coaching for as long as the Tide has him.

Regardless of how much college football continues to change over the next few years, the man who has won six national titles at Alabama is as committed as ever to adapting and evolving.

I feel like a young man first of all. "So let's clarify that up." I feel like they don't make them like they used to but you have to be flexible. That is one of the most important things about sports. The game is different. The shot made a difference. Either you change with it or you are behind.

The no-huddle changed the game. You're going to get bypassed by a lot of people if you don't study the game and use it to your advantage.

When asked if he would be here for the rest of his contract, he said he would.

He asked if he's still alive. I plan to be here as a coach.

In his 16th season at Alabama, he said he and wife, Terry, and the rest of their family are home. The culture within the program has not changed despite the constant turnover on his coaching staff.

It was said that no one is born winners and no one is born loser. "All of us are born choosers." Choosing the right things will help you be successful.

In May, Texas A&M's Jimbo Fisher and Alabama's Nick Saban had a verbal altercation. Texas A&M "bought every player" in its recruiting class, according to Alabama coach Nick Saban.

He apologized for singling out any teams, but said his issue was those schools using NIL as a recruiting incentive. He is against what he calls "bidding for high school players" under the auspices of NIL.

Alabama has built a recruiting class that is the best in the country since the back-and-forth between the two head coaches.

"Because of the brand that we have here, players can earn a tremendous amount of money because of the brand and because of the image that they can create using that brand to promote themselves, which has happened." The players we're recruiting aren't coming here because of the money they're getting. The history that we have of guys creating value for themselves makes them want to come here.

Collectives and alumni are involved in the recruiting process through the NIL. In regards to the spat with Fisher, which he said he had learned over the years to use as a way to self-examine, he insisted that he " didn't hold grudges" and that he had learned over the years to use anything said about him as a way to self

He said that he might get better from some of the things.

The personal nature of some of the comments made by Fisher was brushed off by the coach.

No one is happy about those things when they're said about you, and that used to bother me a lot. You can't let this kind of stuff affect who you are.

When asked if his relationship with Fisher would ever be the same, he replied, "I don't feel any different." I don't like taking things personally. Some people take things personal when they win and lose. Some people take things personally while others don't.

Alabama will play Utah State on September 3, 2022, in the first game of the season. Georgia defeated the Alabama in the College Football Playoff national championship game. After winning the SEC championship game, the team finished with 13 victories.

It was referred to as "kind of a rebuilding year" by the coach. "It's a rebuilding year every year because we lose 25 percent of our team, whether it's seniors or whether it's guys going in the draft," he said in an interview.

Over the past three years, the Alabama football team has had 27 players selected in the NFL draft.

A lot of players from the national championship team left for other teams. We had many new players. There were a lot of things that made you feel like you're rebuilding when you have a young team. There's a good standard here.

I wouldn't want to coach a place that didn't have high standards.

The Alabama president is in agreement with that standard.

Bell hopes that the team can win a few more games this year.

The standard at Alabama hasn't changed, but that doesn't mean it hasn't changed as a coach.

"I think I've improved as a teacher," he stated. It goes in one ear and out the other when yelling and screaming at a player. If you want them to understand what you're saying, you just need to teach it, and sometimes it works better if you do it alone. I haven't considered that in a long time.

I try to leave that to intangible things like giving effort, playing with toughness and finishing plays, not necessarily mental errors," he said.

The way players hold each other accountable is one of the things that makes this team great.

"We don't have a lot of guys that take all your time because they're not doing what they're supposed to do." The team is all trying to do the right thing.

Alabama has two of the best players in the country in quarterback Bryce Young and outside linebacker Will Anderson Jr., both of whom are projected to be the top picks in the upcoming draft.

The best players on the team are the leaders, that's a good thing.
