Vanessa Bryant Donating $16 Million Payout to Mamba & Mambacita Foundation

Kobe Bryant's widow is donating the money she won from L.A. County to the Mamba & Mambacita Foundation.

Bryant and Chris won a lawsuit against L.A. County over the distribution of photos taken at the helicopter crash scene.

The legal system doesn't allow her to force better policies, more training or officer discipline according to Luis Li.

The statement was posted by the L.A. Times. The responsibilities of the sheriff's and fire departments are what Mrs. Bryant's efforts have exposed. Even though the County tried to force her to submit to a mental health exam, Mrs. Bryant was always brave. She is indebted to the good Samaritans who brought to light the decades old practice of taking and sharing photos of accident and crime victims.

The sheriff and fire departments' first responders have been called out for "callous behavior" in the past.

She wants the money to be used to shine a light on their legacies.

During closing arguments, Chester's attorney proposed that the jury should award $32 million to Chris, but his team didn't suggest a specific amount.

The jury only deliberated for a few hours Wednesday before coming back with the verdict and judgement.
