The New York Jets wide receiver is looking for a new place to call home.
Mims wants to be traded after the Jets refused to let him go, according to his agent, Ron Slavin.
Slavin wrote that Mims worked hard in the off-season to come back better than ever, but he didn't get a chance with the starting offense. The Jets have a crowded wide receiver depth chart with veterans, second-year pro, and first-round pick, as well as slot receiver, all sitting ahead of Mims.
The Jets selected Mims in the second round of the 2020 draft. He has played in 20 games over the past two seasons and has 31 catches for 490 yards. Two years have passed and he hasn't reached the end zone.
Mims came to training camp in great shape. The wideout believes he should be a starter in the team.

Mims has not done much to prove himself on the field, but he is still a promising young talent. It will be interesting to see what Joe Douglas does with the receiver, since he has become known for his skill in securing trades.
