The final day of joint practices between the Cincinnati and Los Angeles Rams was stopped after a fight broke out.

A fight broke out during a team drill involving the Rams' first-team defense and the Cincinnati's first-team offense. A Rams defender who was unable to be identified from a distance was trying to tackle Collins. The Cincinnati running back was a few yards down the field when the defender wrapped Collins up.

The fracas drew several whistles and flags from the officials, as Collins swung punches after being free. Donald was seen swinging a helmet multiple times during the scrum in a video that was posted on the social networking site.

Cincinnati's practice facility and Paycor Stadium are separated by a street. The teams came to a decision after a few minutes.

The team would not be commenting on Donald's refusal to speak.

Sean McVay said that he didn't want to make a big deal of the fracas and that it was just two teams defending each other. Both coaches wanted to get the right amount of work done.

Some guys have helmets on while others don't. There's a group of people. You don't know what can happen I'm worried about unnecessary injuries for people that we're counting on, whether it's for our team or the other team.

The coach said it got a little rough.

Taylor said they just called it. The last practice period was the one we were in. Was it worth it to get the extra two plays? It is not possible to say yes. We decided to call it.

Collins was involved in a dispute before. He was involved in two other fights with a Rams player. He was replaced in a drill by D'Ante Smith.

Taylor wouldn't say if Collins was involved in the altercations. Players were not made available after practice.

Matthew Stafford, who was the lone Los Angeles player to speak to the media, was on the opposite practice field working against the Cincinnati's starting defense.

The two teams are going to have a day off on Friday before playing a game on Saturday. The teams are not expected to play their best players in the finale. Taylor doesn't think animosity will continue.

Vonn Bell said earlier in the week that Taylor relayed a message from team president Mike Brown about fights.

Bell said that you don't want to be a headline. Don't let everything get dirty.
