A judge gave a firm "no" to the Musk team's request for an "absurdly broad" amount of information. Additional data relating to how it calculates the "monetizable daily active users" (mDAU) stat and its associated bot activity estimate is required by Musk.

Each of the 200 million accounts included in the mDAU count would be covered by trillions of data points, according to the ruling. The burden of responding to that request has never been attempted by anyone in the right mind. It's obvious that the request is too burdensome.

The two sides are trying to get information to support their arguments about whether Musk should be able to get out of his agreement to buyTwitter before the trial is scheduled to start on October 17th

The accounts that were reviewed for the audit must be given to the company. Musk needs to know how those 9,000 accounts came to be selected for the review. It will take about two weeks for the data to be collected. A small additional set of data from its review database will need to be handed over, regardless of whether those documents specifically address mDAU.

The judge partially agreed to the request for documents from Musk's side as he tried to leave the deal. The Analyses and identification of related information on a privilege log are required by the defendants.
