Things could get 'ugly' for Barca with Bayern & Inter draw (2:12)

Group C was drawn with Barcelona and Inter being the two teams.

Manchester City's Erling Haaland will return to his former club, as well as Robert Lewandowski returning to his former club, as a result of the draw for the group stages of the 2022-23 European Championship.

After they were drawn together in Group C, Robert Lewandowski's old club will face him for the first time since he left for Barcelona.

The two clubs will face each other in the group stages of Europe's biggest club competition for a second year in a row after the draw in Istanbul on Thursday.

Inter Milan and Viktoria Plzen are in the same group.

Haaland, who joined City in a 60m deal in June, will face a return to his former club, as the two clubs were drawn together in Group G with Sevilla and FC Copenhagen.

Real Madrid were drawn in a group with Celtic, Shakhtar Donetsk, andRB Leipzig. In May of last year, Madrid won their 14th European title when they defeatedLiverpool in the final.

In Group H, Paris Saint-Germain were grouped with four other teams. Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar will be given another chance at bringing a European trophy to the French capital as a reward for winning the Ligue 1 title.

In Group A, they will face Rangers, who are making their return to the group stages of the competition for the first time in a dozen years.

Due to the World Cup in Qatar, this season's group stage will be played over nine weeks instead of the usual 12.

The knockout stages of the competition will start later in the future.

The final will be held at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

Group A includes the Netherlands, England, and Italy.

Group B includes FC Porto and Club Brugge.

Group C includes FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Viktoria Plzen.

Group D includes Eintracht Frankfurt, Spurs, and SportingCP.

The group includes AC Milan, FC Salzburg, and Dinamo Zagreb.

Group F includes Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Celtic.

Group G includes Manchester City, Sevilla, and FCenhagen.

Group H includes Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Benfica.
