Sutton's Predictions

Chris was left scratching his head after the weekend of shocks, so will the predictions experts bounce back?

Only for Manchester United to get their first win of the season did the majority of you back the Reds.

I thought I had gone easy on them. They were really good. Can they back it up.

It has been a weird start to the season.

Every top-flight game this season is being predicted by the man.

He is up against Ross MacDonald in this weekend's games.

It's an intense time to be doing predictions and it's the most unpredictable league in the world.

Chris was beaten last week and I hope we can do the same this week.

The 1975
The 1975 headline the Reading and Leeds festivals this weekend. Their new album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language, is out in October

Ross was given a season ticket to his local club when he was 11 years old, and he has been watching it ever since.

After starting the season with two wins from two, he says he's enjoying seeing the club and doing some jobs.

He says it's been great to see the club thrive again.

We were distraught when it went under, but there wasn't an obvious way back. It was like losing a loved one.

The guys who took over have done amazing things and made it feel like a community club.

Smaller clubs in the north-west of England can go under the radar if their owners are bad.

We have a plan in place to solidify our history and have a bright future, thanks to the fact that we did not disappear forever.

Between The 1975's festival headline gig atLeeds on Friday and Reading on Sunday, Ross is going to play a game of football.

Josh from You Me At Six and a few of the boys from Circa Waves are playing with me. He says that they have a proper football team.

There is usually a few of us from bands. We're playing music.

Will his predictions be the correct ones?

SUTTON'S PREDICTIONS

Unless otherwise stated, the games start at sundown.

SATURDAY

Southampton v Man Utd

Southampton v Man Utd (12:30 BST)

The last time I watched a game was againstLeicester. They responded brilliantly after going behind to a James Maddison free-kick in the first half.

They won the game because Che Adams came off the bench and scored two times.

I don't think anyone showed up for the game, but I think they can win it.

He predicted 1-2.

Ross thinks that if Raphael Varane is fit, Manchester United will be able to beatSouthampton.

Ross predicted 1-2.

Brentford v Everton

Brentford v Everton

They had a lot of chances against Forest before the visitors took the lead.

Frank Lampard's side lacks that finishing touch, despite the fact that Demarai Gray scored against Forest.

I think they will edge this one by a single goal because of their home advantage.

The prediction is 0-1.

I don't know how long Frank Lampard will last in a job, I think he's rubbish at the moment. The team looks strong at home.

Ross predicted a 2-0 victory.

Brentford v Everton

Brighton v Leeds

It was a good way to surprise me. Fans are quick to let me know that I haven't predicted a win for them yet.

Their new signings are getting a lot of attention and they have shown they are good pieces of business.

Both of these teams drew last season and I think they'll score. I think we will go for a tie.

The prediction was one point.

Ross thinks that everyone is sleeping on BRIGHTON. When you're not sure which team will show up, it's a similar feeling to what they experienced under Bielsa. I can't pick a winner.

Ross predicted a 2-2 tie.

Chelsea v Leicester

Chelsea v Leicester

It seems like a deal that will get over the line by Saturday is not something that will happen. It will be interesting to see if he will start for the Foxes and if his head is in the right place.

I think they will bounce back from their defeat at the hands of Elland Road. They were way off the mark. You don't often say that about a team that plays with greater intensity and hunger.

They have had trouble scoring goals and I think they will win this one.

The prediction was 1-2.

At the weekend, we didn't see a lot of play from the teams. They weren't that good at the end of last season and Rodgers could be the first manager to go this season. I think they will bounce back after the loss.

Ross predicted a score of 3-1.

Liverpool v Bournemouth

Liverpool v Bournemouth

This is a must-win for the Reds as they need to kick-start their season in order to stay in the top flight. You can win in any way you want. It is desperation for them.

They don't have a lot of creativity in the middle of the park. I think he would have made a difference because they lacked that physical presence and they missed him against Manchester United.

Roberto Firmino has been a good player for them over the years, but they are missing something, they need to get it back, and we are all thinking of Bournemouth.

Bournemouth was walloped by Manchester City the other week, but they were stubborn and committed. I think they will win this one by a large margin.

The prediction was made by the man.

Ross thinks Bournemouth will go down after they lost on Monday. I don't think they will go four games without winning.

Ross predicted that there would be four wins.

Man City v Crystal Palace

Man City v Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have beaten Manchester City twice at the Etihad Stadium, so they know how to win there, and there is a link with their manager, who used to play and coach at the club.

You can't see past Palace because they are one of the most dangerous counter- attacking teams in the league.

I think Palace will score, but I think City will win because of the home advantage.

The prediction was made by Sutton.

Palace have looked good, but it's City. There was a point in the second half where City decided they were going to score two goals. I cannot see past them at home.

Ross predicted a score of 3-1.

Arsenal v Fulham

Arsenal v Fulham (17:30 BST)

Fans of the club are optimistic. Gabriel Jesus has started the season well and I don't think he's going to lose.

The win against Brentford was important for the team. At the beginning of the season they were viewed as a yo-yo club but they have made a statement with their performances.

It was important for them to get over the line last weekend, but they will have a hard time against the north London club.

He predicted a 2-0 win.

I wanted to give them a goal because I am a big fan of the player. At the moment, he's a menace and he's up for it. I think it will be a comfortable win for the home team.

Ross predicted a 2-0 victory.

SUNDAY

Aston Villa v West Ham

Aston Villa v West Ham (14:00)

Both sides have started the season poorly.

Things did not go according to plan for the team when they were defeated at Crystal Palace.

Villa had a poor start against Bournemouth. It is a big game for them since they have home advantage.

I don't think they will get going. They have lost their first three games in the premier league and may be feeling a bit hard done by.

His side played well at Forest, hitting the bar and the post, but they did not do enough against the Seagulls. I think this will be a draw because of West Ham's centre half issues.

The prediction was one point.

Ross decided to go for a draw because he thought they were rubbish. Villa's defence has been non-existent. I don't think either of them will win the game.

Ross predicted a score of 1-2.

Wolves v Newcastle

Wolves v Newcastle (14:00)

The Wolves do not score. I don't know how long we've said this about them but it's just that final touch.

I think they will come a cropper against St. James' Park, who were absolutely brilliant against Manchester City last weekend.

I am going to go for the way they played and the way they attacked.

He predicted 1-2.

Ross asked the singer if he was a big fan of Newcastle because he was a big fan. He said that the Wolves would score first and that the Falcons would come back. That is the only prediction which has been proven correct.

Ross predicted 1-2.

Nottingham Forest v Tottenham

Nottingham Forest v Tottenham (16:30)

I like the way the forest has begun. If you're a Forest supporter, you can see that the owner is showing great intent by spending so much money.

They have a good manager in Steve Cooper, but this type of team could make a difference in the game.

Harry Kane's goal was the difference as Spurs beat Wolves last week. Son Heung-min is a member of my fantasy team and needs to get going.

It is possible that Forest will try and take the game to Spurs.

He predicted 0-5.

Even though they only beat Wolves, Ross thinks that Spurs look very strong going forward. There is a lot of depth in the squad. I don't believe Forest can get close to Spurs.

Ross predicted that it would be 4-7.

They were talking to Alex Bysouth and Jonathan Jurejko.

How did Sutton do last week?

Two correct results from 10 matches gave him 20 points.

He was defeated by Bad Boy Chiller Crew, who got four correct results with one exact score, giving him 70 points.
