You should hold off on buying a new phone for a few weeks. On September 7, Apple will host an event and we expect to see the new iPhone 14 series.

We're anticipating price adjustments for existing models as Apple changes its lineup and ceases older phones

We don't know what Apple has in store, but history says you should wait to see what the company announces. The best time to buy an Apple product is during the September 7 event.

iPhone 12 and 13 models are due for a price drop

In September of last year, Apple dropped the prices of the other three phones in its lineup.

We think that if Apple follows a similar strategy in the future, it will keep the iPhone 12 and 13 as part of its offerings. Since current and slightly older models will likely get price cuts, you're better off waiting until Apple's event, even if you don't want to buy the newest and greatest iPhone.

It's a good idea to wait and see if the new iPhones offer any significant upgrades. The new phones will be revealed on September 7.

If you've been keeping up with the rumors, then you know that Apple may introduce a larger "iPhone 14 Max" with a 6.7-inch screen. It's not expected that Apple will announce an iPhone 14 Mini.

The A15 processor used in the current iPhone 13 lineup is said to be used in the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max. The A16 is an upgraded processor that will only be available in the Pro series.

The majority of the design upgrades are expected to go to the Pro models. The notch in the iPhone 14 Pro series will be replaced by a pill-shaped cutout, where the Face ID and selfies camera will be located.

The cameras on the iPhone 14 Pro series are expected to get a dramatic upgrade with a new 48 million sensor for the main camera compared to the 12 million sensor in the iPhone 13 cameras. Better low-light camera performance is tied to a larger sensor.

If the rumors are true, there aren't many reasons to upgrade to the new model of the phone, but anyone who is thinking about buying one should wait to see if the new features make the new model a better buy.
