After dropping its earthy "Covert Green/Black" 801s, New Balance has followed up with yet another revamp, this time iterating the sneakers with clean monochromatic GORE-TEX uppers - the white ML801GTB and black ML801GWB.

Lathered in a mix of creamy white textiles, a slew of hi-tech details have been added to optimize the silhouette's trail-friendly performance. "New Balance 801" is embroidered at the upper tongue, complemented by round laces and light grey detailing around the edges of the tongue, eyelets and inner collars. A thin "GORE-TEX"-branded strip runs across the upper sidewalls to the lower forefoot, appearing just above the tonal "N" logo set on mesh underlays. The mudguards come in smooth protective leather with geometric patterns and ridges to offset the mesh body. The ML801GWB sees the same design in an all-black color scheme. All of these details sit above the essential ABZORB technology, a thick rubber midsole equipped with C-CAP cushioning and a compression-molded EVA.

The New Balance 801 ML801GTB and ML801GWB are currently available at billys-tokyo.net for $182 USD.

Elsewhere, KENZO has spruced up its Inka Sneaker with a Lakers-inspired colorway.
