High global inflation rates and adverse currency trends are some of the challenges Sony is facing as it raises the price of the PS5 in most major markets.

Customers in Europe, the UK, Japan, China, Australia, Mexico and Canada will be affected by the new price.

The US is unaffected by the price hike.
