In the UK, Europe, Japan, China, Australia, Mexico, and Canada, the price of the PS5 has been increased. In Europe and the UK, prices are going up by 10 percent and 6 percent, respectively, due to rising inflation. There won't be a price increase in the US for Sony's PS5 consoles.

Jim Ryan is the President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment. SIE has made the difficult decision to increase the recommended retail price of PS5 in select markets across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.

The Japan increase will go into effect on September 15th but the new prices are already in effect. Many markets have a problem with the PS5 supply. Ryan says that improving the PS5 supply situation is their top priority.

The PS5 prices have changed.
