The long-standing feud between former President Donald Trump and Senate GOP leaderMitch McConnell became personal this week as Trump insulted McConnell and his wife.

McConnell didn't reply to the questions about Trump's insults.

The first Trump Cabinet member to resign after the Capitol riot was McConnell, who was Trump's transportation secretary. CNN reported earlier this month that the House Select Committee was looking into the January 6 riot.

In a post on Saturday, Trump claimed that McConnell should spend less time helping his wife and family get rich on China.

Trump posted an article on Truth Social with the caption: "Trump is right." The McConnells spent decades getting rich on China.

McConnell was insulted by the former president in a lengthy statement that called for him to be replaced as GOP leader.

McConnell was asked if he had any reaction to the former president's insult.

McConnell didn't reply.

McConnell and Trump have been at odds for a long time.

McConnell brushed off rumors that Trump would try to oust him as majority leader if the GOP took the Senate. Trump called McConnell aloser after he defended Rounds.

In November, Trump called McConnell and other Republicans "RINOs", an acronym for Republicans In Name Only. He gave McConnell the nickname "Old Crow" and accused him ofjeopardizing other Republicans' reelection chances.

Trump insulted the wives of rivals. Donald Trump compared the wife of a senator to his wife on a social media platform.

The representatives for Trump and McConnell didn't reply to the requests for comment.
