Champions League draw pots set for group stage

The pots for the 2022-23 group stage draw have been made.

There will be a draw in Istanbul on Thursday. The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups.

The champion of Europe's top six leagues are included in Pot 1 along with the titleholders of the European Championship. There is a place for the champion of the Eredivisie in the top seeds after Real Madrid won the league and the double.

Pots 2 to 4 are ordered on the basis of the results and performance in Europe over the last five years.

The other English teams will be included in the second pot.

Pot 3 is where they will be facing a difficult group.

The group cannot contain more than one club from the same league.

POT 1 is the first one.
