Apple Seeds Fifth Public Betas of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16

The general public can now participate in the testing of the fifthiOS 16 and iPadOS 16betas. One week after the fourth public alpha, the seventh developer alpha will be released.

The secondiOS 16 and iPadOS 16betas can be downloaded from the PublicBeta website if you have signed up for Apple's freebeta testing program.

Notifications have been updated to roll in from the bottom of the display and the Lock Screen has been updated with a new look and feel. Multiple lock screens can be linked with focus modes

Messages can be edited and deleted with the Messages app. Messages can be used for communication between people sharing content, and the Health app has a new feature for tracking vitamins and medicine.

Passwords are being replaced with Passkeys and shared tab groups are being supported. You can schedule emails, cancel sending, and get follow-up reminders in the Mail app.

Apple Pay Later will allow users to pay for Apple Pay purchases in fee-free installments, and the iCloud shared photo library offers a convenient way to share photos with family members. The Weather app and Stage Manager are only available for the iPad with Apple Silicon chips.

There are a lot of new features in both iPadOS 16 and Apple's mobile operating system.
