HyperX is expanding into monitors with the announcement of two models for gaming. The most unique thing about these monitors is that they all come with a desk mount and versatile monitor arm, which can be used to arrange the display on your desk in a variety of ways. The lack of a stand means you won't lose a lot of desk space. If you want a taller view, you can twist the monitor.
The 25-inch Armada 25 and the 27-inch QHD Armada 27 will cost $449 and $489 respectively. Monitor arms, which can sell for $100 or more, are included in both of them. There aren't a lot of spec differences between the two They are supposed to be able to hit 400 nits of peak brightness. Both of them have 1ms response times and G-sync compatibility. The ports are the same, consisting of one DisplayPort and two HDMI 2.0 ports. Sony couldn't bring itself to do the cables for its $899 InZone M9
The Armada 25 has a quicker refresh rate than the Armada 27. HyperX claims that it can achieve a peak of 400 nits forHDR content, which isn't very bright, but the Armada 25 doesn't support DisplayHDR 400. Both monitors claim to have decent color accuracy, but each has a different color range. 95 percent of the sRGB color gamut is supported by the Armada 25 and the Armada 27.
HyperX is making the monitor mounts available for purchase separately, and they also have a VESA plate mounting. The single gaming mount that comes with each of the new monitors is $1099.99. If you want to add more monitors to your setup, you will need the Armada Addon Gaming Mount. Up to four 25-inch monitors can be installed via these add-on parts on a single gaming mount.
HyperX's gaming monitors aren't just also-rans in terms of value They are more interesting than what I have seen from HP. The inclusion of monitor arms and mounts with each model gives the company an advantage that most other companies can't match.
