Shaquem said his brother missed practice the next day because he stayed with him when he was out of work. He was worried about how people would view him.
The one-handed player was cut. I don't sympathize. I don't want people to feel bad for me. I never thought that that was the end for me in the league.
After being released from the practice squad, he was signed to the active roster of Seattle. He had nine tackles, three quarterback hits and a sack in his three seasons with the Seattle.
He was released by the Miami Dolphins before the season started. After trying out for several teams, he realized that he only wanted to play in the NFL if he was playing with his brother.

He said that football was always Plan B.
"My father told me and my brother that the plan was to go to college, get an education and do something that would make a positive impact in the world, and that's what I'm going to do," he said.
At the Super Bowl, he met with the league's commissioner and was invited to join the league's community of former players.

Keep the ball out. Don't let that dream go to waste. We've been told many times that there should be a movie about our journey together and what we've been through. Maybe that day will come soon. I'm going to build something new so I can leave the world a better place than we found it.
On to the next plan.
