The company confirmed this morning that it has begun selling equipment and apparel through the retailer. Amazon customers will be able to buy select products from the official Peloton store.

It marks a major strategy shift for the struggling home fitness firm. This is the first time that Peloton has sold outside of its own website, stores and sales channels. It has shown that there is a ceiling for the company's cult-like devotion.

Kevin Cornils said that expanding their distribution channels through Amazon was a natural extension of their business. Consumers are shopping on Amazon and we want to meet them where they are. As we continue to generate excitement for our unparalleled connected fitness experience, we need to provide more opportunities to expose people to us.

Barry McCarthy took the role of CEO of Peloton in order to right the ship. 2,800 jobs were cut by the fitness brand. McCarthy stated in his earnings release that he wanted to Stabilize the cash flow, get the right people in the right roles and grow again. Some major supply chain issues were managed by Andy Rendich.

Liz Coddington was named CFO and the monthly subscription fee was increased. Peloton confirmed in July that it would be outsourcing production of its bikes and treadmills to a third party.

No one can accuse the company of not making needed changes in order to stem some of the bleeding.

The VP of Amazon said they are thrilled to have the products in their stores. eloton wants to bring their community and fitness routines into the home. We hope that by providing customers with high quality, innovative products, they will be able to take their health and fitness to the next level.

There is still a question of a potential acquisition by Amazon or Nike. The firm could be trying to get its house in order to get a better price.

It appears that the Amazon store offerings will be expanded going forward, possibly including the upcoming rowing machine. Delivery and assembly are included in the bike's pricing for most of the US.
