Two taps are made on the bat on the crease.

As the bowler runs into the field, the bat waves gently up and down in his hand.

It only takes a glimpse of a young sports person to know they are destined for greatness.

Alice Capsey stole the show last year when she announced she was a 16-year-old and scored 59 at Lord's in a single day.

It's like watching a pro.

On Tuesday, the Oval Invincibles all-rounder drilled a four off spinner Abtaha Maqsood and then scratched the ground before the ball reached the boundary rope.

She leaned on her bat, one foot in front of the other, after hitting four more. It's all done in a single day.

One of the loudest cheers of the day came when Capsey was introduced to the Oval crowd.

A year ago people didn't know her name, but now she's one of the people they come to see.

She said that she thrives on the big moments. It makes me focus a bit more.

Capsey started the game against the Phoenix with three off-spinners. Three of the top five were dismissed.

She showed her enormous talent once again in the 18 balls and 20 runs she played.

She hit her third ball for six. She burst into laughter with Lauren, but then her eyes focused on something else.

She faced the bowling again after a punch of gloves.

Capsey said that Lauren told him that he was going to go for the big shot even though he did some gardening.

I can read myself at times, but people can read me more.

This summer has seen a capsey rise.

She took a wickets with her second ball on her england debut

She played in all of England's matches at the Commonwealth Games despite a nasty blow which left her with a black eye.

She looked at home when she was invited to train with the team.

"She is quite quiet and shy off the pitch but as soon as she gets on the pitch you wouldn't know that," says Eva Gray, who was part of the squad that day and has become friends with Capsey.

She is so confident according to everyone.

She has no fear because she's so young and famous.

Capsey scored 25 not out against the Northern Superchargers on her 18th birthday.

A group of people in the crowd were encouraged to sing Happy Birthday to her after she was given a cake. In Capsey, it made the person uncomfortable.

While holding a cake was difficult for Alice.

She doesn't like being the center of attention. She loves to work out and run but is very quiet.

The more she plays, the harder it is for Capsey to stay out of the public eye.

After Tuesday's win, her captain said that she would go down as one of the best.

She's a great cricketer. It's just the freedom and the bravery.

Capsey is destined to follow that path from teenage star to the very top, despite the fact that talent is only part of the story.
