  • Google Wallet gains expanded support for additional countries/regions.
  • The smartphone app is now available in a total of 45 countries.
  • The app is not yet supported on Wear OS in these newly added countries/regions.
  • Google Wallet recently launched as a revamp to Google's digital wallet efforts.

The launch of the wallet was delayed until late July with support for nearly 40 countries The app is now supported in six more countries.

According to a post on Tuesday, the total number of supported countries has increased to 45. The countries and regions that have recently been added are as follows:

The new digital wallet effort by the search giant aims to consolidate all of our digital needs into a single solution. The app can hold loyalty cards, car keys, transit passes, and more.

The app was launched in countries where the older version of the pay service was still available. Users in the United States and Singapore use a separate app from the newer one in order to use it differently. The system used to make payments is still called Google pay. The new wallet is available on the best phones and watches. According to the support page, support for Wear OS payments doesn't seem to be in the cards for these new countries, but hopefully, it will be soon.
