Dana White claimed that he secured a deal for Tom Brady to come to the Raiders two years ago, but Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Carr isn't letting that affect him.
When Carr was asked if he was immune to stories about his status as Las Vegas quarterback, he said he would hope so. The thing is what it is.
While making an appearance on the UFC with the Gronks broadcast on Saturday, White recounted his side of the story after he was prompted by Rob Gronkowski.
I worked to get Brady and Gronk to join the Raiders. It was close to being completed. At the last moment, Jon Gruden said that he didn't want him and all hell broke loose. It wasn't normal. Brady was looking at homes. The person didn't say that Gronk was going to be there. If the Bucs had won the Super Bowl, Las Vegas would have had Brady and Gronak.
Carr has been the starting quarterback for the Raiders since he was drafted. While he was helping someone in the Raiders organization deal with a death, he didn't hear White's comments.
It was a good time to put things in perspective. It really isn't important. At the end of the day, anything I say will be blasted out there so I'm just going to completely remove myself and just keep playing football. Answering football questions has been nice. I hope there is no more drama in the city.
In September of 2022, the Raiders will play the Los Angeles Clippers on the road.
