A blue character from Avatar

The original film is coming out again and audiences have been waiting for a sequel for a long time.

After more than a decade of preparation and production, the sequel, The Way of Water, will be released in December. Despite its predecessor being the highest grossing film in history, at almost $3 billion worldwide, Fox and its new owners Disney feel like they need to remind people. There will be a new trailer for the old movie here and the original movie will be back in theaters for two weeks in September. Normally, we wouldn't pay attention if this still isn't a great trailer.

The re-release will be in 4K High Dynamic Range, which sounds great, but most people won't be in a theater that cares about presentation for you to notice. If you want to see the new movie before it is released, you should go to the theater. The original film was removed from Disney+ in the past few days, most likely to drive interest in this event. It might go back on the streamer after two weeks.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised and surprised at the same time by the movie. I was shocked that the innovative visual effects still looked good and that the film's story is so large. A film that starts with a man in a wheelchair going into space and ends with hundreds of blue beings fighting warriors is expansive in ways most movies today wouldn't dare. I think this is a good movie.

Most of the cast from the first movie are back for the sequel. The film was nominated for nine Academy Awards and won three of them. There is a new poster for the release.
