In the wake of Dana White's claim that he brokered a deal for Tom Brady to come to the Raiders, Carr was asked if he was safe.
Carr would hope so by now. The thing is what it is.
White was asked by Rob to tell the story on the UFC With the Gronks broadcast.
White said that he worked to get Brady and Gronk to join the Raiders. It was pretty much done. At the last moment, Jon Gruden said that he didn't want him and all hell broke loose. It wasn't normal.
Brady was looking at homes. The person didn't say that Gronk was going to be there. If the Bucs had won the Super Bowl, Las Vegas would have had Brady and Gronak.
Following reports of anti-gay and misogynistic language in his emails, the Raiders' head coach resigned after five games.
Brady said on "The Shop" that there was a team that initially showed interest in him before shutting it down.
Carr said Tuesday that he didn't hear of White's comments until he was assisting someone in the Raiders organization with a death.
It was a good time to put things in perspective. It really isn't important. At the end of the day, anything I say will be blasted out there so I'm just going to completely remove myself and just keep playing football. Answering football questions has been nice.
I hope there is no more drama in the city.
The Raiders and the Pats practiced together for the first time at the team facility. After the Raiders fought with the Los Angeles Rams last year, there was no need for another brawl.
A point of emphasis was made to not fight in the practice, according to Carr.
"Joint practices show more stuff so it's not as boring." I've always liked that about it. Two coaches that know each other are keeping each other safe when you practice with them. You're getting fast enough to hit. The person who won the rep is known. I love the way you look. A different defense is what it is. It is a different way of thinking.
You can get a lot accomplished instead of just a few minutes in a preseason game.
