The lawsuit was filed by the former president's attorneys on Monday.

His claim appears to be related to his previous defense regarding former President Barack Obama. The process for transferring White House records was followed in Obama's case.

The fifteenth presidential library was going to be given to Trump. After he left office, the National Archives set up a website, but the plans for the library have been vague.

A spokesman for Trump didn't reply immediately.
