The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees compensation committee approved a contract extension for the coach of the football team.

The university said in a statement that the base salary and talent fee will increase every year. The contract completion benefit of $800,000 will be paid at the end of the four contract years. He will make $10.7 million in the first year of the deal and $18.7 million in the final year.

He signed an eight-year deal a year ago. The new contract is worth $93.6 million, which is more than the previous one.

A contract extension with the University of Alabama was agreed to by the family. We are looking forward to our career at Alabama. When the deal is over, the coach will be 78.
