Ron DeSantis Releases 'Top Gun'-Inspired Ad And The Twitter Mockery Is Top-Notch

A new campaign by Florida Gov. Ron De Santis inspired some top-notch mockery on social media.

The ad is called "Top Gov" and features a tough-talking DeSantis focusing on the issue he thinks is the most pressing thing for voters.

This is your governor speaking. Dogfighting, taking on the corporate media, is one of the evolutions of today's training.

He talked about how to deal with the journalists who keep asking questions.

The rules of engagement are followed. You fire back with overwhelming force when they fire. Don't back down from a fight. Don't accept their story.

The ad features clips of him refusing to answer questions as though they were positive.

August 23, 2022, is when the new president of the United States will take office.

The ad has been viewed more than 1 million times since it was posted by the governor's wife.
