The Italian left-back has signed for West Ham.

He signed a long-term contract with the Hammers that will keep him at the London Stadium until the summer of 2026 with the option of a further year.

During his four-year spell at the helm of the Blues, Emerson won the European Championship and the Europa League.

Emerson was granted Italian citizenship after moving to Italy to play football. He was a member of the Euro 2020 winning squad.

"I'm very happy to be here, and I'll be wearing the No 33 shirt for West Ham," said the person. I'm very happy to be here and I'm ready for the challenge.

I've been in England for a long time and I've always seen the big clubs and watched the big games.

The history of this team is so important to me that when I was aware of the interest I said "Yes, let's go, I want to go there" and I'm here now! I'm excited to start in a West Ham shirt.

The addition of a player with proven premier league, european and international experience was welcomed by the boss.
