Sakurai will no longer be posting a daily picture of Smash Bros. He is teasing another project, but it won't be something we will see daily.

This is the last Smash Ultimate screen I will be posting. He thanked his followers for their support in a statement. I think about starting something new. This time it won't be every day. If you want to be the first to learn what's in the works, you might want to keep an eye on his feed at 11PM.

This concludes the daily Smash Ultimate screens I've been posting since Dec. 2019.

Thank you for your support! #SmashBros

However...I've been thinking about starting something new. (This time it won't be daily, though.)

I'm not getting my hopes up because his language is vague. For someone who has become legendary for hosting elaborate video presentations detailing the finer points of new Smash characters, I just don't think he'd drop the details of a new game on social media I think he will be doing another series of posts on the social networking site. If it is going to be a new game, I think it would be a sequel to Meteos.

While we wait for him to announce something, I recommend scrolling through Sakurai's feed to see some of the Smash screens he took. Since he has been posting them for a long time, there is a lot to read. You can see his made-to-order game console shelves and watch videos of his adorable cat while you are there.
