The school announced Tuesday that William Mohan had been suspended indefinitely after his arrest on Sunday.

The Tennessee athletics department is aware of the arrest of a football player. He was banned from all team activities.

Mohan left the scene when officers arrived at the domestic violence call, according to the police report. When Mohan arrived, a woman told officers that she had invited him but he was drunk. She told officers that Mohan tried to have sex with her and that she tried to rush him to her room so she wouldn't wake her roommates. When she denied Mohan's advances, he became aggressive towards her.

The woman stated in the report that Mohan grabbed her face with both hands and pulled her towards him. The woman told police that she got out of bed to grab the iron on her desk and demanded that Mohan leave. She said she went to the kitchen and got a knife because Mohan was standing on her bed and wouldn't leave.

She told police that she asked Mohan to leave when she came back with the knife. He grabbed her by the throat with one hand and took the knife away with the other. Mohan was told to leave by her roommate.

According to the report, Mohan knocked on the door and called the victim's name after gathering his belongings. According to the victim, Mohan passed out on the couch after she let him back in. She told police that she called Mohan's phone number to find him a ride.

Mohan was arrested the day after the warrant was issued. There will be a preliminary hearing in September.

Mohan played on special teams and is a reserve. He moved to Tennessee from Michigan.
