The latest chapter in the legal drama surrounding Musk's attempt to buy the social network has him subpoenaing Jack Dorsey, a long time friend who supported Musk's attempt to buy the company.
While discovery subpoenas are par for the course in the aggressive world of business law, the one filed in Delaware today is particularly egregious given that Dorsey threw his weight behind Musk in the early days.
"Elon is the singular solution that I trust the most," wrote Jack Dorsey in an April thread. I trust his mission.
He said that Musk's goal of creating a platform that is "maximally trusted and broadly inclusive" was the right path for the site.
In the subpoena, Musk's legal team is demanding that Dorsey give them all the information they need about the impact or effect of fake accounts on the company's business and operations.
The subpoena calls for the former CEO to release all information about the company using a key metric.
Musk's legal team subpoenaed Falck, who was fired by Parag Agrawal earlier this year.
One of the many costs of doing business on this huge scale is getting slapped with subpoenas.
Two years ago, Musk had a lot of nice things to say about Dorsey.
He wanted to say that he supported Jack as the CEO of the micro-messaging service. He has a positive attitude.
We'll have the popcorn ready for the court battle.
Musk wants conservatives to stay out of people's bedrooms.
