After requesting a trade in June, it's a big change. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 12-time All-Star met with Tsai earlier this month and requested a trade.

Tsai offered his support to the front office and coaching staff even though he gave an ultimatum to choose between him or Nash.

According to reports, the two sides have reconciled to keep the player with the team.

He has four years left on his contract with the Nets and is coming off a strong season in which he averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebound and 6.4 assists per game. The trade demand caused a frenzy around the NBA since he has four scoring titles and two Finals Most Valuable Player Awards.

The Nets were looking for an All-Star, other high-level players and draft picks in return for the star, according to a report.

No one matched the asking price and other conversations didn't gain much traction.

The Nets were hoping that KD would return to the team, according to a report.

Brooklyn will keep a top player on the roster as a result of the deliberate strategy.

The Nets should have high expectations next season because of the additions of KD, Irving and Simmons. Curry and Mills should make an impact along with other players.

Brooklyn got swept in the first round of the playoffs last season despite being the seventh seed in the East. Simmons was out of the game for the entire season.

The Nets will be a team to watch if they stay healthy and committed.
