The Self Service Repair Store website is now accepting orders for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models.

While the website was updated to reflect the expansion of Apple's Self Service repair program to Macs, the online store was temporarily unavailable.

Repairs for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with chips from the M1 family can now be obtained through the store. The M2 chip is not available in a manual for Macs.

The self service repair for the iPhone was launched by Apple.

There are more than a dozen different repair types for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, with more to come, according to Apple.

For customers who don't want to buy tools for a single repair, Apple will give them access to a tool kit for a week with free shipping. Customers can receive credit for their repair purchase when they return their replaced parts to Apple.

Apple says it will expand the program to Europe later this year. Later this year, Apple will make repair parts and manual available for additional Apple Mac models.
