The official trailer for The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power was released this morning and it gives us a better idea of the scale of Amazon's fantasy epic.

Galadriel is following in the footsteps of her brother, who was captured by Sauron while trying to cut a Silmaril from the Iron Crown of Morgoth. Sauron tortured and killed finrod.

The four brothers of Galadriel died in battle. Angered and Aegnor were both killed in the War of the Jewels in 465. Orodreth, King of Nargothrond, died defending the city.

The trailer shows epic battles and ships.

We have seen and read The Lord of the Rings. Galadriel has more power than you might think.

It is impossible to say whether or not the story of this show will be a good one. Special effects and expensive sets don't make good shows.

Most of the casting here was very good. There are a lot of smaller, lesser-known actors on the ship. It's easier to see the actors as specific characters when we don't have a lot of big stars.
