One of the commentators said that it was just Little Leaguers being Little Leaguers.

There were many complaints on social media. Little League International officials concluded that there was no intent to hurt anyone.

Officials said that during the broadcast of the Little League Classic, a Midwest player was shown with a stuffed animal on his head. Multiple players on the Midwest region team were enjoying the game after talking with the team.

Little League International understands that the actions could be seen as racist. The coach and mother of the player assured us that there was no ill-intent behind the action shown during the broadcast.

The statement was mentioned Monday by the sports anchor at WUSA9.

He believes the kids were not trying to be racist. They didn't realize what they were doing was racist. Let this serve as a reminder that education is the best way to tackle racism and discrimination, so I don't have to talk about it anymore.

In a request for comment, HuffPost didn't hear back from the sports network.
